(01) Challenge
Ventryl approached us with a unique task: to design a web platform that automatically detects and fixes grammar issues in video subtitles. The UX had to support fast content review, show errors in real-time, and create trust around automated editing. All of this needed to feel simple and accurate.
(02) Approach
We focused on building clarity into every step of the interface. We mapped out error flows, developed a clear visual language for grammar corrections, and designed side-by-side comparisons that showed real-time fixes. Buttons and CTAs were minimized to focus user attention on proofreading efficiency.
(03) Value delivered
The new design helped Ventryl reduce subtitle correction time for users by over 50%. Creators could now upload, scan, and fix transcripts in seconds. Trust in AI assistance increased, and the platform gained recognition as a helpful tool for content creators, media teams, and educators alike.
Design Strategy
We centered our design strategy around clarity, control, and speed. Every screen element supported the proofreading workflow. Colors and highlights were chosen to clearly separate errors and fixes. The platform needed to look technical, but still feel easy enough for everyday content creators to use.

Design, Development, and Testing
We adhered to a traditional project timeline, known for its effectiveness and successful application in past projects. Priority was given to crucial aspects of the website’s design, including information architecture, prototyping, and user flow mapping. Next, the project moved on to the interface design phase, focusing on style elements, responsiveness.

Interactive Design
We introduced smart interactions: hover states on grammar edits, real-time highlight animations, and scroll syncing between transcript and video. These subtle UI movements supported user focus, while reinforcing the AI-powered nature of the tool. Everything was optimized for clarity and performance.

Production Details
We developed a modular and scalable interface, supporting both light and dark themes. Backend logic was supported by a flexible front-end system built for high-speed parsing. Every component was tested for text clarity, visual hierarchy, and keyboard accessibility for proofreading tasks.

We created fully responsive blocks that adapt to transcript length and video aspect ratios. This allowed the platform to work smoothly across video formats, languages, and device sizes. It also meant future integrations could be added without overhauling the layout or disrupting workflows.

Custom interface modules were designed for grammar review and text correction. These included suggestion previews, quick actions, and editable captions. Each feature was user-tested to ensure comfort, readability, and maximum speed when switching between fixes or reviewing AI recommendations.
setting the tone
The voice of the platform is helpful, technical, and reassuring. Text content was written to be easy to understand even when dealing with complex errors. We kept UI copy minimal, clear, and goal-oriented — avoiding jargon while still communicating the intelligence and reliability of the tool.
